We're looking forward to our Nutcracker Snippet Performance this Sunday, November 4th at the Lincolnwood Library.  Performing Arts Limited (PAL) has been invited to perform as part of the Library's 10th Annual Ethnic Fest.

In addition to the many cultural pieces performed in the afternoon, PAL will be performing the "Children's March," "Chocolate," and "Trepak." 2:30-3:00 pm.

Our next snippet performance of "The Nutcracker" will be Friday, November 23rd, 10:00 am at Lincolnwood Town Center.

Teacher of the Week- Week Four

MOLLY JO ANDERSON is a native of Becker, MN.  She has performed around the country including New York, NY with the Mike Miller and Associates dance group in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, and in Wisconsin Dells with the Broadway Dinner Theater performing Disney's "High School Musical" under the direction of Michael Stanek.  Molly Jo graduated this past May from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance.  At UWSP, she performed with many faculty and guest choreographers including Michael Estanich, Joan Karlen, Jeannie Hill, and Luc Vanier.  She has also had the opportunity to choreograph and produce her own pieces.  Her most recent work, The Exigency, was selected to perform in the informal concert at the 2012 American College Dance Festival in Madison, WI.  Molly Jo is the recipient of the Anne Schierl Outstanding Freshman in Dance award, the Kathryn Bukolt Dance Award, and the Festival of the Arts Scholarship Award.  As well as teaching dance, she is eager to share her knowledge about Pilates, as she has just completed her Pilates Mat I and II training.  This is her first year teaching at the Performing Arts Limited.

PAL Teacher of the Week- Week 3


KATERINA HERDER  (DANCE) graduated from Northwestern University in June with a B.S in dance and sociology. She began dancing at her Maryland hometown dance studio and taught at Wheaton Studio of Dance every summer throughout college. At Northwestern, she studied with Laura Wade, Molly Shanahan, and Jeff Hancock and choreographed pieces for TONIK Tap and Dance Department shows. She was first introduced to PAL during her senior year when she researched and wrote her thesis titled "Beyond Ballet: Social Processes in a Chicago Dance Studio." Currently, Katerina is working at Protein Bar, interning with the Production Department of the Joffrey Ballet, and enjoying Chicago, complete with riding her bike everywhere. She is very excited for her second full year teaching at PAL! 

Katerina teaches beginners through our advanced teens on Saturday(s).  She also stage managed our last show!
